With a 4-3 overtime loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Friday, the Oilers moved one step closer to cementing their playoff match-up. With just two games remaining in the regular season, the Oilers sit in second place in the Pacific Division, two points ahead of the Calgary Flames and four points ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Oilers will face either the Colorado Avalanche or the Minnesota Wild in the first round of the playoffs. The Avalanche are currently in first place in the Central Division, while the Wild are in second place. The Oilers have a 2-1-0 record against the Avalanche this season and a 1-2-0 record against the Wild.

Evan Bouchard became the first Oilers defensemen to record a three-point game since March 5, 2023, when he scored a goal and added two assists against the Vancouver Canucks. Bouchard's goal was his 12th of the season, while his two assists give him 40 points on the year.

Dylan Holloway also had a big night for the Oilers, recording his first three-point game of his career with a goal and two assists. Holloway's goal was his 10th of the season, while his two assists give him 25 points on the year.

The Oilers will wrap up their regular season with two games against the Vancouver Canucks. The first game will be at Rogers Place on Saturday, April 15, and the second game will be in Vancouver on Sunday, April 16.
